Water Reservoirs and Hydro Storage Plants

Generation units are obligated to report hydro storage levels in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 543/2013. The corresponding data are reported via the European European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) to the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.

The amount of energy still stored in a reservoir changes with the fill level. Corresponding total values for all Austrian storage power plants are continuously published by E-Control Austria.
