Frequency containment reserve (FCR)

Frequency containment reserve is provided in a decentralised manner in power plants to stabilise the grid frequency. The average values that occurred within a quarter of an hour in the APG control area are shown on this page. Unit June 15^th, 2026, these are target values that are calculated on the basis of grid frequency deviations. They are normally published within minutes after each quarter of an hour. Effective June 15^th, 2026, the publication of data on frequency containment reserve was modified. The data published for this purpose now show the activated frequency containment reserve.
