Generation forecast

These data include all planned net power plant feed-ins in the APG control area. The generation forecast is based in principle on the reported schedules, whereby the wind and solar power generation is calculated by APG separately using special forecast models on the basis of meteorological input data.

Notes:

  • In the interest of consistency with the data published according to Regulation (EU) No 543/2013, the forecast output of all wind power units feeding into the APG control area has been taken into account in the following representation.
  • The solar energy generation forecast for the following day is provided as a rule by around 12 am. At that time, indicative values usually also become available for the day after the following day. An update of the solar energy generation forecast for the current day is carried out every day at around 5 am.
  • The wind energy generation forecast for the following day is provided daily at 6 pm. At that time, indicative values usually also are available for the day after the following day. An update of the wind energy generation forecast for the current day is carried out every hour.
  • The entire generation forecast for the next day for all types of energy generation normally becomes available at around 6 pm.

The Tyrolean grid area has been included in the published generation prognosis since 2011. Since 2012, the APG control area has encompassed all of Austria, with the exception of one corridor in Vorarlberg.
