Call for tenders 2024

APG selected the grid reserve providers in a two-stage procedure in accordance with § 23b par. 2 ElWOG 2010.

All suppliers pursuant to § 23b par. 1 ElWOG 2010 who intended to make their plants available to the grid reserve - under the conditions of the tender documents - could express their interest to APG from 29 February 2024 to 28 March 2024 12:00. Questions regarding the 1st stage of the tender procedure (expression of interest) could be submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at by 21.03.2024.

In the first stage of the procedure, APG checked the information and evidence provided by the bidders in their expressions of interest for the existence and fulfilment of the conditions for participation pursuant to section 23b para. 1, para. 2 and para. 4 ElWOG 2010 and the technical eligibility criteria (mandatory minimum requirements).

In the second stage of the procedure, the operators of the plants classified as suitable were invited to submit bids. Operators of plants classified as unsuitable were informed. The bidding process was handled via a software tool provided by APG. Bids could be submitted via the software tool from 10.04.2024 to 08.05.2024. General questions regarding the 2nd stage of the tender procedure (submission of bids) could be asked or submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at until 03.05.2024.

The "significance" within the meaning of §23b par. 5 ElWOG 2010 was set at 20% for the 2024 grid reserve tender.

The network reserve need could be covered in the first bidding round according to 23b (5) ElWOG 2010.

The following grid reserve capacities were contracted in the 2024 tender:

Call for tenders 2022

APG selected the grid reserve providers in a two-stage procedure in accordance with § 23b par. 2 ElWOG 2010.

All suppliers pursuant to § 23b par. 1 ElWOG 2010 who intended to make their plants available to the grid reserve - under the conditions of the tender documents - could express their interest to APG from 28 February 2022 to 28 March 2022 12:00. Questions regarding the 1st stage of the tender procedure (expression of interest) could be submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at by 21.03.2022.

In the first stage of the procedure, APG checked the information and evidence provided by the bidders in their expressions of interest for the existence and fulfilment of the conditions for participation pursuant to section 23b para. 1, para. 2 and para. 4 ElWOG 2010 and the technical eligibility criteria (mandatory minimum requirements).

In the second stage of the procedure, the operators of the plants classified as suitable were invited to submit bids. Operators of plants classified as unsuitable were informed. The bidding process was handled via a software tool provided by APG. Bids could be submitted via the software tool from 20.04.2022 to 18.05.2022. General questions regarding the 2nd stage of the tender procedure (submission of bids) could be asked or submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at until 11.05.2022.

The "significance" within the meaning of §23b par. 5 ElWOG 2010 was set at 55% for the 2022 grid reserve tender.

The first bidding round resulted in significant overruns of the reference value as defined in section 23b (5) ElWOG 2010, which meant that the grid reserve requirement could not be met with the bids that did not significantly exceed the reference value.

Therefore, pursuant to § 23b par 5 ElWOG 2010, the bidders were invited to submit bids again in a second round lasting 10 days, whereby the bid price had to be below that of the first round. The second round was completed on 07.06.2022.

The following grid reserve capacities were contracted in the 2022 tender:

Call for tenders 2021

APG selected the grid reserve providers in a two-stage procedure in accordance with § 23b par. 2 ElWOG 2010.

All suppliers pursuant to § 23b par. 1 ElWOG 2010 who intended to make their installations available to the grid reserve - under the conditions of the tender documents - could express their interest to APG from 31 March 2021 to 30 April 2021 12:00. Questions regarding the first stage of the tender procedure (expression of interest) could be submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at by 23.04.2021.

In the first stage of the procedure, APG checked the information and evidence provided by the bidders in their expressions of interest for the existence and fulfilment of the conditions for participation pursuant to section 23b para. 1, para. 2 and para. 4 ElWOG 2010 and the technical eligibility criteria (mandatory minimum requirements).

In the second stage of the procedure, the operators of the plants classified as suitable were invited to submit bids. Operators of plants classified as unsuitable were informed. The bidding process was handled via a software tool provided by APG. Bids could be submitted via the software tool from 19.05.2021 to 18.06.2021. General questions regarding the 2nd stage of the tender procedure (submission of bids) could be asked or submitted by e-mail to netzreserve@apg.at until 11.06.2021.

The "significance" within the meaning of §23b par. 5 ElWOG 2010 was set at 100% for the grid reserve tender 2021.

The following grid reserve capacities were contracted in the 2021 tender:
